Dungeons & D@gr0nz: Older Than Thou
0/0 06.10.2007 06:58 English
D&D Cumulative Aging Effects: (Quoted from the www.d20srd.org)
1. At middle age, -1 to Str, Dex, and Con; +1 to Int, Wis, and Cha.
2. At old age, -2 to Str, Dex, and Con; +1 to Int, Wis, and Cha.
3. At venerable age, -3 to Str, Dex, and Con; +1 to Int, Wis, and Cha.
Theoretically, starting at an advanced age is mostly good for a spellcaster. Played well, you can probably benefit from that bonus to your mental stats much more than the huge penalty to your physical stats will hurt you.
Now how do you justify being venerable and still at level one? Well...

Dungeons & D@gr0nz: The Es sence of Haggling
0/0 12.06.2007 06:20 English
One of the most time-consuming segments of the game is shopping. I've heard of gaming groups that actually spend more time in town than in the dungeons thanks to their shopping sprees.
It need not be boring, of course. As you can see from the strip above, putting some flavor text to all those haggling rolls can turn even the most drawn-out shopping run into something that's at least remotely funny.
As a final note, this is an actual quotation of an in-game conversation. Props to Bobby for getting conned by that merchant time and again. XD

Dungeons & D@gr0nz: Enter the Bard

Let's face it. Just about every campaign, at some point, has some IC form of anachronism squeezed in: whether it be a bounty hunter with a Glock, a gnome with the Millenium Falcon or a prophet who uses his crystal ball to watch Seinfeld.
In this strip I showcase one I wish people'd try more: the rockstar bard.

Dungeons & D@gr0nz: Magic, lolz.

The inspiration for this one was a line in the old Marvel Superheroes RPG wherein Dr. Strange compared a certain application of magic to using a bazooka on a roach.
Actually, this strip might apply to magic in general. Not just for RPGs. Lawl.

A tribute to all the hot-blooded men and women who just want to be themselves in D&D. (Accidentally deleted the first version of this one that I posted a few hours ago. >_>)
